A veteran of Pemi as the head of woodshop in 2009, Evan is happy to return to the Pemigewassett family and is especially excited to begin his tenure as Director of Pemi West. As a professional in the outdoor education field and certified Wilderness First Responder, Evan also works for Outward Bound based in Colorado, instructing mountaineering trips in the Rocky Mountains. An avid rock climber and mountaineer, Evan is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Geneseo, with a degree in Sociology and International Relations. When not leading trips into the backcountry, he spends his days as a woodworker in the Seattle, WA area.

Tim Billo has been associated with Pemi and Pemi West for over two decades. He attended Pemi as a camper and returned on the staff member for three years, both as a Trip Counselor and as Assistant Director of Pemi's nationally-known Nature Program. This will be Tim’s 12th year on the Pemi West staff, of which he served for 8 as Director.
Tim graduated from Williams College with a major in Biology. He has taught in outdoor science programs and worked as a ski instructor, park ranger, and bird biologist. Holder of a Wilderness First Responder certification, Tim is currently attending the University of Washington, completing his Ph.D. in Biology (ornithology).
First and foremost, these men and women love teaching young people about the things they, themselves, love to do. They are all experienced wilderness leaders, and each has particular expertise in one or more specific areas, such as natural history (local flora, fauna and geology), environmental issues, technical climbing and mountaineering, cultural anthropology (local human history), and leadership and group process. Many are Pemi alumni.
