Now completing its 100th year of publication, Pemi's "newspaper," Bean Soup, offers a comprehensive sampling of accounts of every significant event of every season — and some insignificant (or imaginary) ones as well. We honestly know of nothing else like it at any other camp, potpourri as it is of exacting fact, dizzying whimsy, and irreverent wit — perhaps a journalistic cross between PBS's News Hour, SportsCenter, and The Daily Show. Written by campers and staff and read aloud every Monday evening at camp, the Soup is edited and mailed to every member of the current camp family in December, including a full tally of the season's awards, newsletters, and addresses to allow folks to stay in touch and plan for the coming season. We'll be happy to send a sample copy of Bean Soup to you even if you weren't at Pemi this season, although the supply is limited. We also have back issues available for alumni eager to recall the halcyon days of their youth.
